Introduction to UFH and TJU
I would like to introduce you to United Family Healthcare (UFH) and our latest hospital, Tianjin United Family Hospital (TJU). We are China’s first foreign-invested hospital network, with over 14 years of experience beginning in 1997 in Beijing. We currently have medical facilities in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuxi and now in Tianjin. Tianjin United Family Hospital, located in close proximity to the Meijiang Convention Center, is 6,900 square meters, has 25 beds and features family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, ER and dental services. Our range of medical services will be expanded in the near future and specialists can be brought in from our Beijing hospital on an as-needed basis. The physicians at our hospital are either foreign passport holders or, in the case of Chinese doctors and nurses, have overseas working experience. All medical staff members at our hospital speak English.
First, since TJU is a full-service hospital rather than a clinic, we are able to offer an expanded range of medical treatments, such as inpatient and ER medical care. We are able to accommodate patients that require an extended hospital stay. We also have our own medical laboratory and high-end medical equipment, allowing our medical staff to cater to patients’ needs within the facility rather than transferring to an outside facility. Secondly, we do not require patients to have a membership in order to receive care at our hospital. We hope to provide an added level of convenience to Tianjin’s residents, especially those with children, as we understand that the three hour commute to Beijing is quite a bother.
There is currently an insufficient supply of international-standard medical care in Tianjin at a time when more international corporations are looking to establish a presence here. We are seeking to fill this void in Tianjin.
Since we are new to the community, we would like to help Tianjin residents by providing world class medical treatment. We are also part of the community, both Chinese and expatriate, and our intention is to understand what medical questions and concerns you might have. TJU is now open with inpatient capabilities, family medicine, obstetrics and gynecology services, pediatrics care, an urgent care ER, dental care, and a range of comprehensive medical services for you and your family.
